Happy Year and a half!

Wow! Time really does fly by!! Today little wee one is a year and a half old. It seems like just yesterday that she was this tiny little 5 lb munchkin, and now she's a walking and jabbering toddler. I can't stop looking at her and thinking she is so amazing! Fiesty, funny, loveable...all rolled up into one adorable and growing package. Awww...the love of a child. If you don't have kids, just wait...you can go from anger to pure bliss just from one little blink of your child's eye!

Here are some things that little wee one can do at a year and a half :-)

  • say "moo" when she chooses (of course)
  • she's said big wee ones name numerous times, again when no one else is around
  • sits on the potty, has yet to go, but wants to sit
  • feeds herself with a spoon and fork
  • takes her "baby" with her EVERYWHERE
  • loves to mimic big wee one
  • loves to torment big wee one
  • can point out her belly, hair (and mommy's hair), and things out of books, as well as other body parts
  • will read by herself, and color by herself (its so cute, she lays on her belly on the floor and colors)
  • gives kisses and hugs
  • tells big wee one (or whomever) she's sorry and then hugs them
  • knows where time out is and will stay there (not that she goes there that often)

I know there is more she does that I'm sure I think is the cutest thing EVER, but off the top of my head this is what comes to me. Here are some pics for reminiscing...

good night.

An Email I Received This Morning...

I received this email when I got into work this morning, and I just wanted to share how amazing this man is!!

Good morning honey,
I hope you have a great day. I found these lyrics from a song and thought they fit us to a "T".

You ask how much I love you must I explain I need you oh my darling like roses need rain You ask how long I'll love you I'll tell you true Until the 12th of never I'll still be loving you
Hold me close never let me go
Hold me close melt my heart like April snow
I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom I'll love you till the clover has lost it's perfume I'll love you till the poets run out of rhymes
Until the 12th of never and that's a long long time

I really like that. Love you

Happy Valentine's Day

A few days late :-)

We had a great week this week! I got to stay home with the girls for a snow day, and then Friday, I had an appointment in Hershey. Everything went great! My next CT scan will be in May, and I'll also meet with my neurosurgeon after that to discuss the scans and our next steps :-) I'm happy. My ENT dr. said he thought everything look much better! The "thrill" (flow of blood) wasn't nearly as defined as it was before the surgery (I agree) and the inside of my mouth looked less swollen. All is good in AVM land :-)

I digi-scrapped a little last night :-) and found a new digi website with some cool freebies: http://www.scrapartist.com/ check it out!

We are having a Chili & Cheesecake Valentine's dinner with some friends this evening, so I'm going to go prepare and clean for that! Have a great weekend all!

Snow Day!

Brrrrrrr....its cold, snowy and rainy outside. We woke up to ice everywhere so the schools were cancelled. I'm not braving icy roads, so I decided to do some work from home today, in between the baking, laundry and playing.

I forgot what its like to be home all day, not running around town. I semi-miss it. I know by the end of the day I'll need a break (thank goodness for girl's night tonight!) but for right now I love it! We've made coffee cake, painted and now we are about to make cheese sticks while watching Little Bill. I'm making recipes out of my Deceptively Delicious cookbook, the girls love the food out of it! If you don't have that cookbook, and your little ones rebel against their veggies (and big wee one will barely eat fruit as well) you've gotta try it. YUMMY!

Stay warm and have fun!

I'm Addicted.

To the Biggest Loser! I LOVE that show! The amount of weight that these people lose, their whole lives change before our very eyes! Its very inspiring, especially to do it on t.v. I mean, would you want to show your man boobs to the whole world, or flaunt yourself in your sports bra?? I sure know I wouldn't! I look forward to watching it each week, even though the blue team guys really dissapointed me last week, kicking off the other guy's mom...and being so deceiptful about it! Grrrr....

Now, it looks like I could get hooked onto this season of American Idol...man, I'm a sucker! Even worse (are you thinking how could it get worse??) they are on at the SAME TIME! I'm totally annoying Paul clicking back and forth between the channels! Though, I think he secretly thinks some of the singers are pretty good (I heard him humming/singing a long a little)...hehe!

This past weekend was a good one! I headed to an all day crop with one of my besties. Usually when I go to an all day crop (I'm talking scrapbooking here folks), I get like 3 pages done, but this Saturday, Mrs. Thang and I both finished 10 pages! And, if you KNOW me, you are saying, "Holy cow Tina! 10 PAGES! You go girl!" Paul took the girls to a civil war place (the name and location slips my mind) and I scrapped till my heart's content! Here are some of the digital layouts I finished:
The girls are feeling great, Paul and I are both doing wonderfully and we are all excited about Valentine's day. Big wee one made Valentine's for all of her friends at school and she's excited to be able to bring her "Valemtime's" bag home tomorrow. I had intentions of helping her make her teacher's a little Valentine goody, but well...we didn't get to it. Though, I did make a delicious dinner tonight. Very simple: Potatoe crustes salmon (just cover your salmon in a mixture of fake flakes, parm cheese, salt & pepper) and of course bake till done and delicious.

We woke up this morning to snow, which delighted big wee one to no end, but little wee one just stood at the door when it was time to go...she is no fan of the snow! Its so cute though, her disgusted look on her face like, "You want me. To go out there. No."

Good night all!

Back to the grind

It surprised some to know that I went back to work on Monday...don't worry, I'm not pushing myself and I really do feel pretty good. I don't have much of a voice (at all), and just when I think my voice is coming back it leaves again, but I really do feel good. Being out and about makes me feel better as well, nothing like some fresh air to help get the blood flowin' :-)

The girls are getting over their messy noses and ear infections, and big wee one is giving me a hard time this week. She's learning to push buttons, but she's also learning that if she doesn't listen she loses something. This morning it was her kitty cat dress up dress and then any t.v. for the evening when I picked her up from the babysitter. Nothing makes me feel better (note the sarcasm here) then when I go to pick her up and she lays on the floor and throws a fit because she doesn't want to put on her shoes! FRUSTRATING! Makes me feel horrible. I stuck to my guns though and she didn't get to do much this afternoon besides (*gasp*) use her imagination and she was so delightful! I think we'll be laying low on the tv for awhile, I like her much better without the distraction.

Some funny things to talk about...
While I was sedated in the hospital, but semi-awake (not enough for me to remember) I started doing sign language to speak to my nurse and to Paul! I totally cracked up, I thought that was the funniest thing, especially since I really only know the basics of sign language (ABCs), but they both said I was really going to town with it...I cracked up when Paul told me about that. I can also write (legibly) while under, like I don't even have my eyes open, kind of under. I don't remember doing that either, but Paul has proof, he kept some of the sheets I wrote on. One of them says, "Save this for my scrapbook".

We have really been blessed by our friends around us. We haven't had to make a meal in a couple of days, and the MOMs club has started bringing us meals as well. What a huge relief. Even though I do feel better, by the end of the day I am just wiped. The meals have been a HUGE relief...so thank you everyone, and all of the food has been delicious! We received a homemade lasagna that was probably the best lasagna I've ever had! AWESOME!
Another good point for the week, is that Paul is home with me. He was scheduled to fly out to Miami for the week on Sunday, but with the girl's being so sick and me not feeling great, he decided to stay in town and I am soooo happy about that!
Speaking of Sunday, how about Super Bowl, that was a pretty good game! It was the first time in a couple of years that we 1) actually got to watch the whole game and 2) did it on our couch ;-)

Sorry if this post was kind of all over the place, that's kind of how I am right now.
Have a great night :-) Off to watch Biggest Loser (inspiration)
