Weekend

What a completely relaxing weekend!

It started Thursday night with MNO (Mom's Night Out) with my local MOMS club. We had a blast playing Dirty Bingo, check her out...she's got all the details of the night (and I haven't uploaded those pictures yet), thanks for not showing any "fire fighter" pictures. I ended up with a bottle of wine, which I was pretty happy about :-) Though I did try to win a pretty cool lunch bag & water bottle. These girls play a gnarly game of Dirty Bingo!

Friday night, I was invited to a friend's house to watch "Twilight" and I must say, and don't shoot me, but I was kind of dissapointed. I'm going to re-watch it (hopefully with my mom) soon, because I was giving a lot of commentary (sorry ladies) through-out the movie, and maybe watching it again I could appreciate it more??! I hope...

Saturday morning, we moved very slowly. I made cinnamon buns and Big wee one ate 4 of them! Little wee one ate a whole package of grapes! She doesn't like cinnamon buns. Crazy right! We then got dressed and I was going to bring them into work with me for a couple of hours, but when we got to my building, it was closed. Usually the building is open on Saturday's, but for some reason today it wasn't; and I didn't feel comfortable going in alone. Soooo....we called up the Mimster and headed to the movies to watch this:

Pretty cute movie and the girls did pretty well through the whole thing. I wasn't too worried about Big wee one, even though she gets a little weird in the beginning. It's like she gets nervous or something, the anticipation...she doesn't like (only in the beginning, once the movie actually starts she's fine) the people talking or laughing. I can't blame her really, is it necessary to sit through all of that in a kid's movie? Don't movie folks know that little kids lose their patience pretty quickly?? Once the actual movie started she was ok. BUT the movie was in 3D and it took her a little while to figure out that the movie was WAY better in 3D then in the blurred mess that Little wee one watched. (Movie folks also need to realize that wee ones don't have ginormous size heads, the glasses were HUGE!) They barely fit my head, Big wee one kept telling us how they were slipping off her nose and Little wee one could see out of both eyes in one lense...HUGE glasses! Either way, the movie was pretty cute, I'm sure it will be on BWO's list for Christmas.

When we got home we hit up our favorite dinner joint, Montezuma's. Which may sound scary to some, but we love it! The girls love it, and we can feed the whole crew for about $25. After filling our guts, we hit home and hit the sack. I scrapped in bed and Paul watched lax games on tv.
Sunday morning the girls let us sleep in till about 9 am. AWE-SOOOMMEE!! When we got moving, Paul hit up our local Sunday treat, Dunkin Donuts. When the girls were done tearing into some strawberry frosted donuts we headed to Little wee ones room and her closet to start organizing clothes. I'm prepping for the seasonal change over and decided it was time to get rid of the stuff we didn't need any more. I got rid of three huge bags of clothes, and I can now close her closet door without using a hip to make sure things don't fall out.

That was of course a 4 hour adventure, since the girls decided they needed to climb in and out of the clothes, pull everything out of the closet that was left in there, try on all the shoes and clothes...something that could be relatively simple (just time consuming) becomes a grand event. But it's done and I feel good about it. During the process I found out that Big wee one can still wear 18 month shorts...looks like we will be getting a lot of wear out of a lot of those shorts. LOL, she has chicken legs, and gets them from her Grandma (represent Grandma-Dukes!) ;-)
Paul shot on one of his goalies Sunday afternoon, and a sudden down pour sent him home early. While the girls napped (BWO, not so much) I digi scrapped :-)

We finished the weekend off with spegatti, red velvet cake, baths and bed :-) Mr. Chris and Teej stopped by this evening, so we could firm up our upcoming weekend getaway with them. That's right folks, Paul and I are getting away for a whole night! We'll be heading to Baltimore with our friends for a fun day/night away. Just a short little trip to revamp our system...actually we'll probably be just as tired when we get home, but it will be fun!

Paul has 3 games this week, and the girls and I probably won't make any of them. Monday the game is in Hershey, and we planned on going (since it's an hour away), but we are supposed to have pretty high wind gusts (doesn't sound like fun), Wednesday the game is at home, but rain is the forecast and Friday the game will be near Philly...BWO has dance class...guess we'll have to catch up next week.

Back to scrapping...have a great week!

For Real??

I can't believe that I am seriously watching this right now...is this for real? Why would you waste your time doing that? Why not just eat the delicious little Smartie? Please God, let my girls be "normal"!

We can smell spring...

We know it's right around the corner, but we certainly aren't feeling any warmth. We wake up in the morning and see the bright shining sun, but then pull out our winter coats...will it ever warm up? I mean, we didn't get any snow this year, anything that amounted to FUN, so atleast we could have the warmth back...right?!!
Needless to say, at Paul's first lax game, we FROZE! Big wee one had to have Teej warm up her hands, because the mom (of the year!) didn't bring gloves. You want to know why...because the darn sun is so deceiving! I know its cold outside, but I think to myself, "the sun is shining, it'll be warmer then I think". WRONG! When we were leaving the game BWO fell on the track, onto her cold hands, and I'm pretty sure my brother in Guam heard her screaming. I feel ya sister, and that is the exact reason why we are home and not at the game this evening. It's freaking cold out! **Update: we won tonight against Harrisburg Academy 13-5, and it was cold and it started to rain as they were leaving...I'm glad I'm home and my nails are painted, along with my toenails...just making sure everything is ready for when it does warm up**
Here are the pics from the game:
Action shot. I love pictures like this with people flying in the air.
Coach Flohr watching the face off (I'm assuming, he could be watching the birds fly for all I know).

This Davis, he's the second goalie to Dan the Man...he's a sophomore this year (I believe) which makes Coach Flohr very happy :)This is "Biscuit"...I asked his twin sister why they called him that (Paul gave him the name) and she said it's because he's "fluffy" lol...seriously!? He was pretty intense at this game, good action coming from him.Big wee one does a lot of this through the games and so does Little wee one, but she doesn't let me take pictures of her :-) I bought these "special" pens from the dollar spot in Target, HUGE HIT!
GOAL! This is the goalie from above's brother...I think. It's hard to remember everyone, but he's a good one to watch :-)Half-time...this wasn't a good game. We got our butts handed to us, so I'm pretty sure, the guys were not looking forward to the half-time "talk".Did I mention that a lot of the guy's gave themselves mohawks...it's pretty gnarly, I wonder how long they will keep them. BWO hanging out with Grandma, watching the game. Really, I think she was throwing away a lot of trash and hanging with Grandma. She decided after half-time that she was on clean up duty. Whatever keeps her busy.Another action shot from "Biscuit". He literally leaped/flipped over the top of this guy...insane! This is what the coaches like to do after the game. Thanks to Grandma & Grandad who came in for the weekend, for buying all those delicious crabs! You know they were enjoyed by all...pretty much until about 3 am! Makes for an early morning the next day, but luckily the girls let us sleep until about 9 am! Aren't they so sweet :-)
Teej is Coach Schellhorn's main squeeze and has been my game sidekick, but unfortunately, she won't be able to make too many more games, since they are during the week :( We'll miss ya Teej!Speaking of sweet little girls...they've been into laying in bed and watching movies together. It's so cute!! And they aren't arguing, just hanging out.
The color on this picture is totally funky, but she's SMILING! So I had to add it :)
She's up to no good! Doesn't she look like she caused some trouble?
I can't believe that she's 4 now! I'm still trippin' on that one. Seems like just yesterday she was born and we were living outside Philly...crazy how time flies and life changes!
I wouldn't change anything :) Life is busy but good...thanks for checking us out!

The Scrap Happenings...

These are the latest digi pages I've completed. We had our monthly crop on Friday and I was able to get 3.5 pages completed :) I should be done with 2007 in no time! I could possibly be completely up to date with everything before this year is over...how amazing would that be...T-flo all caught up?? We shall see! In the meantime, enjoy the pics of the wee ones :)

This picture of wee one is so sweet. I was taking some pictures of my friend's daughter and decided to take a few of the girls playing as well. This was right after her first birthday.

Halloween! She was such a sweet little Minnie Mouse...I remember the days when she would actually look at me and smile when I had the camera in my hand.

Big wee one and I hanging out on the couch...she's my snuggly kid.

Little wee one is great at zonking out wherever she is when she is tired...lunch is no exception.

I love the light shining in on this picture. We were driving home from a MOMs club Harvest party. She loved being dressed up as snow white.

Can you tell which month I'm finishing up right now?? LOL...this picture is from Trick-or-Treat on Main St. This was about a month before I actually got the job that landed me in the position to plan this event and others downtown. If she is standing still she is practicing ballet moves...this girl loves ballet!
My oldest brother surprised us with a visit from my middle brother. I don't have the picture of me being surprised, but I do have a picture of my brothers...and this is it:) I'll be updating later with lax pictures...and heading out to a game this evening. Have a great week!

Happy Green Day!

That little green man got us...well he got the girls and he got 'em good!
After school yesterday, all Big wee one could talk about was how the leprauchan (know idea how to spell that!) came into their classroom and made a HUGE mess while they were in the gym. BUT (there's always a catch right!!?) he left everyone a little gold nugget. How exciting, to be 4 years old with gold! (which, by the way, we can't seem to find now)...
I felt like I had to live up to his glory...his big messy glory! Big wee one ran straight to her bedroom yesterday after school to see if the little green man messed her room up, but he hadn't. I had to explain to her that yesterday wasn't the real St. Patty's Day, that today was.
This morning we woke up, and again she was dissapointed to see that he hadn't messed up her room; and honestly, I didn't have any kind of gift for them, nor had I really planned anything. Off to work/sitters we go.
I had a meeting this morning at 8:00 am, and as soon as that meeting was over, I headed out on my mission. My mission: to get carrots and cabbage to put in the crockpot with my cornbeef and to get little gold coins. The first part of my mission was a breeze, the second part, not so much. I went to the dollar store, and they didn't have any "real" selection for St. Patty's Day so I picked out a little puzzle for each of the girls and green peeps (they have every kind of peep in the world imaginable now!). Headed to Wally World next, where luckily I was able to find gold coins (in with the Easter stuff...again, nothing good for the man in green!).
I got back to our house, put the carrots in the crock pot and then went upstairs to mess-up the girls room, all the while thinking, "What am I doing??" And chuckling to myself as well. I put together a little green package for each of the girls and hid it in their messy room.

When I got home from returning to work, actually doing work and then picking up the girls, the first thing Big wee one asked me was if the leprauchan had messed up our house. How was I supposed to know?? I hadn't been there all day!
We walked through the front door and Big wee one immediately slumped her shoulders in dissapointment (so, very very sad!).
"Maaaannnnnnn....he didn't mess up our house Mom!"
Thanks little green dude! I appreciate you not tackling my whole house!
Even though she was bummed, she still had hope for upstairs...off she went.
The squeal of excitement was PRICELESS!! ADORABLE!! ENTERTAINING!! Of course! How could you not get excited about a mess strewn about your room. I had to run to get the camera to catch this picture before I missed all the good stuff...she is jumping up and down with excitement! And then she found her hidden treasure, and Little wee one was a little dissapointed...obviously, she didn't notice the trail of books going into her room! She loves puzzles, and I love the dollar store for having cute puzzles at such a reasonable price!Awww, look...Little wee one is also jumping up with excitement to find her green goody! In true LWO style, she would not look at me at all...she instead devoured her goodies and then told me she had a tummy ache from all the candy and needed a glass of milk.We finished off our day with cornbeef and cabbage, and I am happy to report that both girls ate dinner :) Big wee one had to have her carrots on the side, not cooked, which was fine, and LWO eats everything :)
Check out this sweet little video clip, you can really here LWO talking...at one point she's talking about the leprauchan taking all of her shoes out...too cute! My apologies, at one point, I choke/cough...lol, and I'm also sorry for the sea-sick motion as I move the camera about :-)

Have a fantabulous day!

Scrimmage Pics

The lax team has had scrimmages the past two Saturday's. We went to the first scrimmage, and it looked a lot like this:
Big wee one hanging on the fence, and shortly after Little wee one figured out that she can do it too!
Paul's squat pose...we will see this a lot through out the year.

Face-offs...not so sure the Trojans won many of them, but that's what scrimmages are for, to work out the kinks.#18 is a senior this year, he'll be missed! But for now, he's working out the defense strategy. This image CRACKED me up! Literally every where you looked there were scores of refs running around. They were teaching the new refs, so they literally followed and chased the "seasoned" refs. It was semi-annoying because you couldn't see much action with all the black and white in the way. Guess you have to learn.
Big wee one made a new friend and was playing all afternoon with her. When I turned around to check on her at one point, this is what I saw. And this is what I thought, "OUCH! How do her legs do that?"
An action shot.Running. (Interesting stuff right!?)
Little wee one had a rough afternoon. She fell through the steps of the bleachers, and was fine, but then got hungry, wanted to play by herself, but with her big sister. She also wanted to wander...here, she walked all the way down to the other side and just sat down. I think she was playing with a sticker book.
Because I didn't realize how long we were going to be there, the girls ate all their snacks and then literally became wild animals, wanting to eat more and more and MORE! This is all I had left in my purse, a packet of dry brown sugar oatmeal. They ate it, and LOVED it! It was also a HUGE mess! Good idea for the moment, bad idea for the mess!Paul's first real game of the season is this Saturday. Grandma & Grandad are coming in and hopefully I can find my camera before then :-) Have a great start to your week.
