Settling in...

to my new tanned body :-)
Ha...don't be jealous, especially my Tejas friends. I know you all have been lounging by the pool for weeks now...WEEKS! Last week, I wore my thermals under my pants to Paul's final lax game so I wouldn't freeze my rear off...today, I wore a tank and I was sweating! Excuse me, glowing ;-) (I don't want to sound like a hog, I don't sweat like a pig, I glow like a lady!)
I sat out all morning, working the garage sale with "C" and got some sun. Ate a bowl full of the the BIGGEST strawberries EVER, and got some sun (did I already say that?). Tomorrow morning, I'll finish the garage sale and hopefully I won't get drenched. Peeps have been telling me that they've heard it's supposed to rain tomorrow...better not rain on my parade! I have crap to sell (see previous post...and then come buy my crap!). I need to raise a little extra funds to go see the new Sex in the City movie. Can't wait!
Toodles....for those locals...next weekend is the grand opening of the brewery. Buy your tickets and meet us there!!
Good night!

Yard Sale.

Be there.
Come buy all my crap.
Some of it is really good crap.

Some...not so good, but one man's crap is another man's treasure :-)

Friday morning. 7:30-noon...I'm hoping to make MILLIONS (in my best pinky to the mouth dr. evil voice.) I'll let you know how that goes selling all my 50 cent and dollar items...lol.

Tonight, was Big wee one's dress rehearsal for her big performace Saturday night. She did AWESOME! As soon as I figure out how to upload a video from my DVD recorder and or get the really bad, from far away video from my digital camera, I will post it for your viewing pleasure. She really did a great job! Especially considering she's one of the youngest ones in her class. A lot of the other little girls did the whole look around and roam thing, which, I can get. Those bright lights are really bright, and you haven't seen those cool decorations before...and heck, Big wee one didn't do a single dance move in her little 2 year old recital last year.
These pictures are from her in class dance recital last year.

See how she didn't dance, she just posed for me the whole time. Goof ball...it was sweet though, and she sure looked cute.

TGIF...Have a great weekend!

An Ant.

She's telling me it's an ant...do you hear it? Later, not on video, she smooshes one with her finger and then laughs...should I be worried??

Busy, busy, busy...

But finally slowing down.

The Flohr's have been soooo busy the past two weeks! I don't think I've seen my eyelids before midnight in about two weeks. Luckily though, this long weekend should be the start to the lazy days of summer (YEA right!)

Two weekends ago, I drove the girls to West Virginia to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday with my WHOLE family (minus Paul, he had senior night and a tournament that weekend) and my brother's...Uncle N. & Aunt J. moved to Texas and Uncle E. is in the deep blue, sea, sea, sea (somewhere??).

My wonderful cousin Mel drove into C-burg to ride the girls and I, I was so happy I didn't have to make the 4-5 hour trip by myself. The girls were pretty good the whole time we were away. Big wee one was sick. The day we got there (Friday afternoon) she broke out a fever and pretty much had it all weekend. No other symptoms of anything except for a fever. I would give her tylenol and she was fine, when the tylenol wore off she would literally fall asleep/lay down wherever we were standing at the moment. Poor thing.

Big wee one's last day of "school" was yesterday...I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by! The girls will now go to their babysitter for two weeks and then "K" will start watching them after h.s. graduation.

The lax team had an awesome season this year! They ended up being 13-5 (I'm pretty sure that's right) and went to the playoffs. That game was last night. They lost, which was a bummer, but I'm secretly glad to have Paul back home again. Tonight was the first night we all had dinner together (minus Sunday's) in MONTHS! I'll miss the games, and the stories, but it's nice to have our family back :-)
Paul mentioned tonight that the lax banquet is on June 3rd...the same night as the Downtown Business Council's Annual Meeting. I'm extremely bummed, but am hoping that I can make it to the banquet before it's over. :-( I really want to be there to see the seniors (we've become attached to a few of them) and hear Paul talk. We shall see....

Looking ahead: Big wee one's dance recital is next weekend. I'm getting excited about that, she has no clue. This weekend we are going to take the girls to the zoo...I know they both will LOVE it! I can't wait to see their faces, especially Little wee one, she is really into birds and dogs, any animal really, she'll really get a kick out of it all. We are hoping to meet some friends that we haven't seen in ages this weekend as well. Look, I say that this weekend is the start to our lives slowing down, but I already have a million things planned (on top of everything else the college lax finals are on t.v., and we need to price and go through more stuff for our garage sale). Have a wonderful long weekend. Here are some pics from the past few weeks.

I took these photos of"K" and her boyfriend before Sr. Prom.

I've Been Tagged

I've been tagged by Ro. And so I guess you're going to find out more about me. The rules state that I must do the following:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

--------

  1. The first thing that attracted me to my husband were his muscular legs...then his amazing blue eyes. He ran past me while playing in a lacrosse game, his legs were so muscular, and then we locked eyes, he doesn't remember this, but I do...and basically that's all that counts right :-)

  2. I HATE folding laundry and putting it away! I don't mind transporting it to the washer then to the dryer, but actually folding it and putting it away is a whole nother story. Don't ask Paul about it, that's probably #1 on his list of things that drives him crazy about me...can't help he's a folding machine! We interviewed and sent in a tape to be on the Rachael Ray show for his folding speed!

  3. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to scrap! And within the past year I have fallen in LOVE with digi scrapping! I'm quite proud to say that I've been published twice in Memory Maker's Magazine with 2 differnt digi layouts.

  4. Sometimes, when Paul is out of town or he won't be home late, I'll let Big wee one sleep with me :-) She's a good snuggler...or on the even more rare occasion we'll take a nap together.

  5. When Little wee one was born, we had a scare with her foot. It was turned in, and we had to have x-rays done when she was just hours old and then sent to Hershey Medical Center to have it examined, thinking it might be Club Foot. It ended up just being the way she was positioned in my womb...little stinker :-)

  6. My grandfather owned a couple of railroads when I was growing up. That's a random little fact, who owns railroads?? My Grandpa that's who... :-)

  7. Let's see....what can the last one be?? hmmmmm...my favorite drink is a margarita on the rocks with no salt. My favorite beer is Foster's or Blue Moon...and I'm thinking one of the beers from the new brewery opening soon will go into this list, they have a summer citrus ale and a watermelon beer....sounds good to me :-)

Now I need to tag 7 people...I'll poast that tomorrow...I'm tired :-) Good Night!

It's official...

I am ready to move.

I am literally (well, back and forth to the computer) staring out the window at a little boy screaming and crying in the back yard. Annoying! I guess I could shut my window, but that's beside the point. He was playing nicely with two kids, then screaming occurs, I get up and look out the window (natural parent thing to do), little kid runs inside, boy lays on ground screaming, much older and bigger kid runs away. This all leads me to think someone did something wrong. Boy continues to lay there thrashing and crying, oh, where's the mother...good question, she's not around. Like so many kids in our develpment, the parents just let them roam! So...back to the kid, he's laying there throwing his fit, and then he gets up and karate chops the air. "There, I showed YOU!" Hope he feels better. Annoying brat. Go to bed.

Not that my kids are perfect by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, Big wee one has been quite a pain in the kicker the last few days, but I'll be the first to pull her inside when she starts acting like that. I'm also the first to take away her food if she doesn't eat, her toys if she can't play nicely, her books for bed if she can't follow directions. I'm a mean mom...sometimes.

Other times, I let her do things like this...

I'd love to chat more, but Grey's is coming on and I've got to get ready. More later my bloggin' buddies!

Finally...

I've gotten around to posting! And it's a long'en...get ready. Get those glasses prepped for some pictures. You might be here awhile, grab a drink and a snack...I prefer ice coffee and chocolate covered almonds...yum.

The last two weeks have been uber busy! I had my first fully involved with event with the Downtown Business Council last Friday. It went sooooooo well! I was extremely pleased and I believe that everyone that went had a great time! I am so happy...here are pictures from that night. Big wee one got to see the Ugly Step Sisters from Cinderella (our local ballet company is performing Cinderella)...she was so excited! I also got a picture of her with Cinderella (the dirty dungy Cinderella, not the pretty princess one), but these ugly sisters were hysterical! Dude looked like a lady!

Here's a family shot. The weathers was amazing! You couldn't ask for better strolling the streets weather.
Big wee one was enjoying a big giant lollypop!Little wee one enjoying an ice cream cone with no ice cream. (I try to keep things semi-clean!)Big wee one getting her face painted by a "princess" aka: the local dairy/farmer's princess (no offense princess, I just can't remember which one you were) And hanging with her favorite babysitter!

Ok, let me be honest here for a second, I'm being easily distracted by the dread-lock dude on American Idol (he got the boot tonight)...he's an interesting cat. I'm back on track now though...

Saturday morning, was my MOMs Club Mother's Brunch, which is always guaranteed a good time. We do a month of secret sister swapping leading up to the brunch and then we reveal ourselves. I totally did not know who my secret sister was, but was pleasantly surprised when she revealed herself. She really went above and beyond with my gifts! She gave me burned cd's (totally rock! Big wee one now asks to listen to the "tootsie roll song" when we get into the car), panties (I have a new pair for every day of the week...and then some!), chocolate, bubbles & chalk for the girls...all kinds of good stuff. She even stole my huge planter off my porch, and I didn't even notice! For a whole month! I'm really out there sometimes! Even when it was sitting on the steps of the restaurant outside when I walked up, I still didn't even notice it was mine! My final gift from her was great as well. The flowers in my pot for my porch, new panties (again), apple martini mix and shaker, a new bag, and two cookbooks! I love my MOMs club!!

These two ladies ROCK! This isn't a great picture of H. Randy Randt, but she freakin' ROCKS! She is always there for me for a good laugh, an ear to vent to, a meal when my family needs to be fed, she's goes above and beyond in the world of friendship...and she LOVES SCRAPBOOKING! Ms. J Showhopper has the best heart in the world! She's so caring of her friends and I love that she just lays it out there. She's the kind of friend that will tell you how it is and if I have a big boog in my nose...she ROCKS as well! I love these ladies!
This girl is so freakin' funny!! I was in her presence when the infamous ripping of the pants occured! I still laugh about that. I think Big wee one thinks her son is her brother. A Great friendship is blooming here. Something new that has been going down in the Flohr house is that Big wee one keeps telling me about her baby brother named Derek...interesting. Does she know something that I'm not aware of?? Believe me folks, there is no baby brother in the near future. This was the planter that was stolen off of my front porch, and the big 'ol skivies that came with it...hehe!This is one of my besties Ray...she's funny. That's T ignoring me. She didn't want to smile for the camera. Ray cuts her own hair! It amazes me! Last week it was to her shoulders and on a whim (good choice) she cut it. LOVE IT! I wish I could roll with the short hair like that! The MOMS Club of Chambersburg East...well, the majority of us. :-)The lax team has been doing AMAZING! Paul is in Harrisburg right now voting on who will make the "all-star" team...sorry I can't remember the official term, maybe its All-Penn?? Either way, the team has been doing great! They won their game tonight (14-3) and they won their games last week. I'm bummed I'm going to miss their first game on the turf under the lights (on Friday), but the girls and I will be celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday at the Greenbrier. It will be a good time, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of my cousins and the rest of my family.

I'll finish with a few pics of the girls being cute, and then I need to hit the sack, or take my toe nail polish off, or wash my face...anything to keep me awake until Paul is safe and sound at home. My girlfriend died my hair earlier this evening, I don't have a picture of that, but I do have a picture of her adorable kids. I'll post that as well.

Give these two some barbies and they won't bother you for HOURS! They are great friends! And so cute together, listening to their conversations crack me up! We'll miss them for sure when they move! A great, great friend and her little buddha man! Adorable isn't he?! I can't believe she's moving, who am I going to watch the Hills with? Who am I going to run to Targe' with after the kids go to bed? Who's going to bring me a random breakfast at the exact moment I'm running late with the girls in the morning? Or an ice coffee when I get home from work? She's the BEST!! A great listener and funny...and heck, she's Asian! LOL...we laugh about that all the time, it's not anything racial, she forgets that she's asian (korean really) at times. Way funny! Thanks for dying my hair!

All the kids. After we at mexican and enjoyed ice cream. They are a messy bunch, but they are cute!

The girls being their adorable selves.

Wow...this post took over an hour (I'm not going to count the distractions from American Idol and Real World). Paul just got home with the results for our plalyers (now I can go to sleep!) and sounds like there was some great representation from Chambersburg Lax! Representin' Woop-Woop! One of our players was voted 1st team Mid-Penn and was nominated for H.S. All American. Total we had 2 for 1st team and 3 second teamers and 5 honorable mentions...not bad for a 2nd year varisty program! GOOOOO Trojans!!!
