This & That.

Little wee one now tells me (the majority of the time) if she has to go #2. And if she has gone she'll tell me to take her diaper off...baby steps closer to potty training! I don't know how its going to work with school starting soon and back to the regular grind of the babysitter, but I think she'll catch on quickly, and I'm sure our babysitter will help in that department.
Big wee one has been doing AWESOME with her letters and can now spell cat and ant when you ask her. I predict she'll be reading within the next 6-8 months; that kind of stuff just comes easy to her.
We'll be heading down to meet Paul's mom's side of the family this long weekend. This will be the first time I've met any of them and the first time in YEARS (at least 10 or 11 years) since Paul has been to the family reunion. I'm excited to meet all of them, and I hope we have a good time (there's food, can't be that bad of a time...right?!).

Remeber when I talked about my girls being dirty all summer long? Well, here they are being really dirty with our neighbor. They decided to paint his little car, and have been putting touch-ups on it each time they play at night. It definitely keeps them occupied for long periods of time.
Little wee one's birthday party was nice. She loved her ice cream cone cupcakes and all of her new toys :-) What more could a 2 year old ask for? That's some serious icing in the way of air flow for blowing out candles. Looking back on these pictures, she's really starting to look like a little girl to me :( **sniffle**A new bike! She looks like she knows what she's doing, but she's just holding on for dear life ;-) I need to get this girl a helmet!Presents everywhere! For such a small party, the girl made out like a bandit! She was most stoked about this puzzle! She's been playing with it everyday and night!I always talk about how much the girls love each other and how well they get along, but I thought I would show a picture of Big wee one picking on Little wee one. She's always touching one of her boingers! (Boingers was a name we inherited from the other Flohr girls...a fun name for ponytails)This was my favorite gift :-) I helped Mimi make this blanket for Little wee one. I cut all the squares out of her favorite outfits from her first year of life and she sewed them up into this adorable blanket!Food is always important at a party...you MUST make these! They are soooooo good! And then follow them up with these! I'm thinking this may become my birthday party cupcake staple...just add different decorations for the theme :-)We'll finish with a loving shot of the wee ones stairing at the boob tube. Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

Happy Birthday Little wee one

Happy Birthday Little wee one!! I can't believe its been 2 years already. You are such an amazing little girl and you amaze us more and more everyday. Here's a look back at 2 years of you!
Your big sister loved you from the moment she saw you and still does. We are so lucky that you two get along as well as you do! I hope you stay best friends forever! You have been a Daddy's girl from day one!Minutes after you were born.

Love at first site! You are 6 days old in these pictures, weighing in at a little over 5 1/2 lbs. Sweetness.I believe this picture was taken in November...you are probably right around 3 monthish. Your first visit to the beach was Bald Head Island. I love beachy pictures! You were so good on this trip. You, were such a great baby, period.Santa! This was your second picture with Santa, the first one you were so tiny! Right after this picture was taken you burst into tears!Just being you. Sweet and simple.Your first Easter Egg hunt...you were exhausted!
There have been many times where we have caught you like this. You like to sleep! You have slept through the night pretty much since the day we brought you home. Especially when we moved you into your room around 1 month.
Arts and crafts...you love doing anything your big sister is doing, at this particular moment though, you were adding your own flare!
The first time you ever sat still and let me take your picture. Have I told you that I love you lately??
Having fun at the park. You have a few fears and a semi-weak stomach (hills in the car make you a little woozie), but you have no fear of slides!
Just being cute in your dress with your ice cream.
You are doing so many amazing things. At 2 you are now saying anything and everything we say! I must admit, I was nervous this day would never come, but you held all if it and now you can't be quiet :-)
You love to sleep with anything and attach yourself easily to different things. For awhile it was babies, now its "bwankies"...the newest one being my most favorite. Its a special blanket that Mimi & I made together. I cut all of my favorite outfits from your first year into blocks and Mimi sewed them together to make a blanket. It came out so perfect!
At 2 you love:
  • being outside and playing
  • coo-keys and ouce cweam
  • going to Mimi & "Pa's" house
  • fruit: apples, bananas (otherwise known as apples), grapes, strawberries and boobays (blueberries)
  • veggies: corn on the cob, cucumbers, tomatoes and sometimes greenbeans
  • singing and books
  • riding on "back-back"

Thank you Little wee one for being our BIG little surprise! We love you so much and can't wait to see what this next year holds for you!

Hugs, kisses and love forever...Mommy & Daddy

August Fun

We've had a pretty fun summer thus far! I'm sure the fun will continue the last couple of weeks. Look for updates on Little wee one's birthday, she's 2!! Here are some pictures...enjoy :-)

We took the girls to play at Caledonia Park, they had a blast, but unfortunately, we haven't made it back (yet) to play again.
For Paul's birthday we celebrated with friends and Paul's favorite...CRABS!
Here's the birthday boy...look at that lavish cake...ha!
Here's the crowd, doesn't Paul look amused...lol
Mr. C is serious about these crabs! As the night went on, the pictures got funnier...here 's a shot of Paul and I and then a shot of Paul singing...there was a lot of singing going on!
He's struggling with a high note...lol We are always playing outside...so I added some random shots of that. This picture came out of the camera like this and it is so crazy looking! Little wee one looks possessed!
Here's the backyard crew doing what they do!
Little wee one's rendition of the splits...she's too funny! If you get a summer storm, you should always cool off by laying in the puddles!
Or stomp in them with your "doots" on.This was a serious summer storm! It killed all of our plants :(Little wee one is pretending to sleep...
Now Big wee one is pretending.
Here she really is supposed to be asleep! But of course, she isn't.
I, honestly think that Big wee one thinks she is a model. When I pull out the camera, she instantly strikes a pose! Here, she is thinking about the pose.
Now she is posing...she even boots Little wee one off of the table for more modeling room!

Cheese!
We heard whistles at Mimi & G-pa's house one afternoon, so we went on a little trip to discover what it was...it was a tractor show! I love free hillbilly fun! Tractor pulls and fatty foods.

Little wee one enjoyed a ride, while Big wee one enjoyed some ice cream.
I found Little wee one with this band-aid on her head, when I asked Big wee one what was up, she told me that she fell and bumped her head, so she helped her out by putting this band-aid on her boo-boo...what a great big sister!
Stay tuned for pics from Little wee one's birthday :-) And enjoy your last few days of summer!
