On a Roll...

We are on a roll here in Flohr land...

Cleaning out clothes, closets, cabinets...spring cleaning in crazy mode. If I don't think I could possibly use it, think I want to use it, I'm not totally in love with it, or whatever...it's outta here! I must say, that I'm doing pretty good. Our garage is loaded with stuff for a garage sale, and we have yet to go through our storage unit. I'm determined to cut down on clutter. If you know me, you know this is hard. I wouldn't say I'm a pack rat, but you just never know when you might use or want something that you got rid of.

In lax land, the Trojans have won their last two games, making their record 8-4. The win Saturday morning was an action packed one! I made a fool of myself yelling, especially at one mom for the other team. They (the other team) were harrassing the ref's for calling penalties, and the lady was yelling, "Come on Ref, it goes both ways!" and as she's yelling this, one of their players turns around and smacks one of our players in the face with his stick...seems their team was playing a little dirty. Of course I had to yell back, "If your players weren't being such bad sports, the ref's wouldn't have to keep penalizing them!" (Something to that extent.) I get heated! The other coach's girlfriend (a great gal that I had only briefly met one other time) was at the game, I'm sure I made a great first impression! HA! Luckily, she was a cheerleader in a past life, and I think she understood the heated moment. At the end we were both (well, most of the stands...it's about time these parents put some ooomph into their cheering) standing and yelling (I was banging the sand toys we brought on the stands) :-) Action packed I say! We finished Saturday night having dinner with said girlfriend and coach/friend. Thanks to Mr. Wes for a delicous dinner (we ate at his restaurant) and to our new found friends for the good company :-) And thank you Mr. Bartender for introducing me (well, really the menu jumped out at me) to Blue Moon...YUM!

Tomorrow, starts another week for us. Friday, is my first FULL event that I have been involved with from start to finish at work. I'm really excited for A Taste of the Arts, and I'm hoping it doesn't rain!! Do a little non-rain dance for us please!

Have a great week! Let's see if we can post a picture from this day last year (since I need to upload new pics) :-)

Games...lots of 'em

The Trojan's lost last night :-( By one point! Ugh...those are the WORST! My stomach gets in knots watching, and I'm sure my friend that came was thinking, "Shut up!!" due to my yelling and stomping. I can't help it, I get into it...good thing my mother-in-law wasn't there...woooo, she's got some lungs on her! (We love you Grandma!)

Thursday is another home game, and Saturday morning as well...of course I will report on all games, for those that want to be in the know :-)

I am home with little wee one today. She woke up the night before last with a wicked cough, wheezing and runny nose. I got to spend some quality, middle of the night time with her rocking...it was sweet :-) The next morning (yesterday) I took her to the dr. and she has croup. We started her on steriods last night and hopefully this thing will kick it ASAP! She's sleeping right now and big wee one is at school, so I'm multi-tasking...did a little work, folding laundry (well I'm fluffing it to begin folding it), and now I'm updating the blog :-) Go me!

The weather has been super gorgeous here, last night's game was beautiful! Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure!

Little wee one looks preggo...she's tiny with a big tummy! And she's stylin' too, look at those cute shoes! Big wee one thinks she's funny too!

I LOVE this picture of Paul...tehe!

Big wee one striking a pose with her cupcake and Paul actually laughing after the loss...that's little wee one zonked on him. She was exhausted! The girls creating pancakes out of the gravel...chefs!

This makes me smile on my birthday :-)

We're gonna party like it's my burf-day...

Well, really we aren't. Birthdays stop after you have kids. Paul asked me last night what I was going to make for my birthday dinner...lol. I did make a delicious Rachel Ray meal last night, it was awesome! After dinner and the kids went to bed, Paul went to Bruster's and brought me an ice cream sundae home. Today, I'm heading over to one of my besties house for girly drinks and kid play. Nothing like sipping a girly drink while you watch your kids chase each other and play polly pockets...true parenting skills!

I think I'll just pop in a pizza for dinner.

On the game front, the Trojans won their Friday night game 15-3! And this week all 3 of their games are home! Hopefully the weather will look a little better by then, it's rainy and yucky out today, but I believe Mr. Weather.com said its supposed to be warming up with sun for the rest of the week.

Happy Birthday to you too!! :-)

Didn't win...

It was a HORRIBLE loss, but hey, you win some and you loss some right?? There's another game tomorrow night in State College, hopefully we will "represent" like we should! I'm still cheering...GOOOO TROJANS!
Tomorrow night I'm heading out with some friends to celebrate all of our April birthdays. It should be a nice relaxing night out. I have a LOT of friends with April birthdays, must have been something in the water, way back in the day. I asked for a new coffee mug from Paul and the girls. From Starbucks. It's cute. With butterflies. Nice and easy :-)
Here is a picture of Paul in action...you can't post without a picture (right?). Or not...blogger isn't in the mood for pictures. :-/

Finally...She SPEAKS!

Last night was a big night in little wee one's world! She started saying words! LOTS OF THEM! It was so incredibly cute! Here are the words she said (in no particular order):
gook (book)

wab (crab)

duck (duck)

bell bun (belly button)

ba-be (baby)

wog (dog) she's said that one for awhile now, but was saying it a lot last night
and a few more, but I don't remember completely off the top of my head, we were reading and she was repeating and pointing to the pictures. I immediately called Paul in to listen, he's been a little stressed that she might not ever talk. We try not to compare the girls, but big wee one was speaking full sentences at 18 months and little wee one is just starting to say words at almost 20 months...she's just taking her time! I mean, why talk when you have a perfectly good older sister to tell everyone what you need. Which she does, sometimes without even a grunt to let her know that you do want something. "Mommy, little wee one and I need a drink, we're thirsty." You can't beat that service!
Today, is a big game for the Trojans! Everyone wish them luck! If they win this game, they'll be 1st in their conference, which would be HUGE for their 3 year program. We will be heading to the game to cheer everyone on!

Sunday morning was our art morning. Both girls painted, and painted and painted. Of course, little wee one, now has to do everything that big wee one does...here are some pics from their creative creations.
Have a great day, I'll post again tomorrow with an update from the game...

GOOOOOOO TROJANS!

Past Weekend

We went to a local Kid's Fair this weekend and a friend of mine sent this picture to me. Thought I would share, the little kitty looks so cute :-)

Happy Hump Day!

I look a little squinty, but the girls are cute...that's all that matters right?!

Keepin' it Real...really busy.

Don't they look a lot alike in this picture?
Man, is it just me or is this time of the year just sooo busy??! Between being a working mom and a lacrosse widow, I don't feel like I have a lot of free time to just stare at a wall. Which, by the way, I was able to do just moments before typing this update. Anytime I try to sit at the computer when little people are around, one of them inevitably ends up on the desk, pushing buttons, writing with a pen, moving the mouse...you get the idea. Both are now in bed, so freedom is mine at last!

(Here's Grandma teaching Riddy how to fight with sticks!

Paul had a game tonight, somewhere. I don't remember where, but they won!! GOOOO TROJANS! They've only lost 2 games, so we are pleased with the season thus far! (again), GOOOO TROJANS! It's frustrating though...I know Paul gets so annoyed during a game and the stands are silent. Mind you, I hoot, hollar, stomp on the stands and act like an idiot, so I know he's not talking about me...sometimes all the guys need when they are in a tight game is for the crowd to get rowdy...don't make me do it. You know I will...ALRIGHT!
Let's get a little bit rowdy. R-O-W..DY! Sorry, an old cheer from back in my days as a young'en are emerging. You don't know how many times I sit in the stands and hold back from yelling old chants (there is a difference you know, between a cheer and a chant). In honor of Paul's bride, I just keep it to simple things like: "GOOO TROJANS" (have we heard that before) "COME ON GUYS" pretty generic, "GO BLUE!" (or white depending on the jersey they are wearing) and other random sayings that pertain to defense, the goalie, the middies/attacks...you get the picture. Fun fun...I think I like lacrosse more then football. Maybe that will change when football season is back up, but lacrosse is definitely action packed!
From cheer camp, back in the day
The girls are doing great! Big wee one has a nagging cough, all they do at this age is spread back and forth. Little wee one has finally cut her first "eye" tooth. Its been tearing her up though. Runny nose and diaper! The little thing as allergies as well, so we have a lot of fluid flowing from her body. She's talking more and more these days! LOVE IT!
I'm doing good. I found out over the weekend that an old friend from high school was in a serious car accident. She (you know I don't name names...protect the privacy), has two little girls and a husband. Apparently, she lost control of her car (3 other ladies where in the car, one I also knew, the others I didn't) and it flipped (a lot)...she flew out, along with the other girl, and they landed beside each other. My friend is now paralyzed from the waist down!! I was mortified when I heard the news and have just been sick to my stomach. I can't even imagine what her life will be like now. Her youngest daughter will never remember a time when her mom could walk. It's going to be an extremely LONG and hard road for them...but she has the personality to pull through with flying colors and she has a major support system. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers!

Sorry for the depressing load...

Back to what's going on. Work is busy, busy right now. A Taste of the Arts is in full planning mode and so far looks to be a great event! We'll have live mannequins roaming the streets, chalk art for the kids, bubble stations, a kid's choir, musicians playing for every hour at both ends of downtown (will solidify that on Thursday at our next meeting), wine tasting, beer tasting, food tastings and artists around different locations downtown along with a "mini" gallery in what will be the new Bistro. Very exciting! Last year the weather was perfection for the event, so I'm hoping it will be the same this year! What a great way to welcome in spring!! My girlfriend Ray, will be selling her jewelry at Heavenly Grounds as well...check it :-) If you live near the Chambersburg area, it should make for a nice evening out ;-)

I must execute my duties as a wife and get to cleanin'. My friend, from down the street just stopped by, and mentioned my stack of laundry (thanks for noticing!). I can't help how quickly it piles up! I made a delicious quiche for dinner tonight...super easy! Here's the recipe, make it...you'll be glad you did!

pre-made pie crust (cook at 450 covered with foil for 8 minutes, then no foil for 5 more minutes, then turn the oven down to 350)

3 eggs, beaten

8 oz of sour cream

and whatever you want to put in her quiche. I did sauteed green peppers, onions and red peppers, along with crumbled bacon. mix those ingredients together, pour in crust and bake at 350 for 40 minutes, take out and let stand for 10....

as big one would say...de-freakin'-licious! (she didn't really say that, but she did say "freaking" tonight!!) I shouldn't laugh, but it was pretty funny. There was a mess in her "kitchen" and she said, "What the freak is this?" Copy cat...guess I need to watch my usage of the word freak! Now on to pictures and then cleaning...peace out!

These pictures are from this time last year...a little trip down memory lane. We are coming up on my Uncle's one year anniversary on his cancer diagnosis and hospital stay and Big wee one's hospital stay with pneumonia (that was her the day she was admitted into the hospital...poor thing). The other's are just cute pics :-)
